Нашата История
Сведения за историята на Добруджанското село Лозенец, община Крушари, област Добрич, са оскъдни. Основен източник на информация е Летописната книга на училището, започната на 28 февруари 1941 год.
Знае се, че първоначално са били две съседни села –Карабалар и Омуркьой. „Името Карабаларъ идва отъ“кара-което значи черно и абаларъ-аба“тъй като по- рано тук е имало хора които са носели черни аби. Само с.Карабалар има 131 една къщи с около 300-400 жители . Двете села заедно имат 300 къщи с 1200-1300 жители“.
„През румънско време не са съществували, както сега две села, а е било едно общо наречено „Вийшора“ .
През 1930 год.е основано румънско училище.
След 27 години румънска власт на 7 септември 1940 година Южна Добруджа е присъединена към България.
Преданията са, че начало на ограмотяване е вършел в дома си местния богаташ Ковачев, около 1900 година.
Март 1940 година е открито българско училище. Пръв учител в него е Петко Христов Тодоров от с.Търнава, Белослатинско.
В началото на учебната 1942-1943 година е открита и прогимназия. Обучението първоначално е водено със слети отделения, поради липса на учители.
